Industry digital solutions: five segments, five different digital problems

A factory, a retail chain and a holding company do not share the same digital problem. For each segment this page states the problem first, then the recommended service combination, then the metric that is measured before anything else changes.

Why does a generic website not solve an industry-specific digital problem?

Answer

Because a generic site is designed for one type of buyer. A factory is judged by a procurement engineer verifying capacity and certificates, a retail chain by a consumer opening a map on a phone, a holding by an investor or a journalist. Page architecture, structured data and language structure follow that buyer; swapping templates does not.

This page looks at five B2B segments through three lenses: the dominant problem (what is actually breaking on the digital side), the recommended service combination (which work closes it) and the first metric measured (where progress will be read from). If your industry is not named below, the method still holds — what decides it is whether the organisation is multi-location, multilingual and document-heavy, not the label on the sector.

If you would rather navigate by service name, the scope matrix of eleven services is the better entry point. The process, contract terms and handover conditions are written out in full on the how we work page.

2.5 s

The threshold Google publishes as “good” for Largest Contentful Paint. It is the same number in all five segments: no industry earns its buyer’s patience.

Which service combination is recommended for each segment?

Answer

The combination follows the dominant problem of the segment. Manufacturing starts with structured data and technical document architecture, retail with location architecture and local visibility, franchise networks with the application funnel, exporters with the multilingual structure and hreflang, holdings with brand architecture and central governance. The matrix below puts all five side by side.

Scope matrix of five segments · criteria: decision-maker, dominant problem, service combination, first metric measured
Segment Decision-maker Dominant digital problem Recommended service combination First measured
Manufacturing and Factories Procurement lead, project engineer Capacity, certificates and technical documents exist as files but not as readable text on the site; a buyer who cannot verify you removes you from the shortlist. Corporate website · Structured data · SEO · Core Web Vitals Indexing rate of product and document pages
Retail Chains Marketing director, retail operations Store data differs between the website, the app and the business profile; branches collapsed into a single list never surface in local search. Dealer and branch network · Structured data · Mobile app · SEO NAP inconsistency count and store page indexing rate
Franchise Networks Franchise development manager, brand manager Two separate buyers share one website: the end customer and the prospective franchisee. One page serves neither, and the brand drifts in franchisee hands. Dealer and branch network · Brand identity · Dealer portal (e-commerce) · Corporate website Completion rate of the franchisee application form
Export Industry Export manager, managing director Translations exist but hreflang does not; the buyer in the target market lands on the wrong language version and cannot verify the company independently. Multilingual corporate site · SEO · GEO · Structured data Visibility per country and language, quote form completion
Corporate Holdings Corporate communications director, investor relations Subsidiaries work with separate agencies; performance, accessibility and schema architecture differ per site, and the group identity dissolves in digital channels. Brand identity · Corporate website · Structured data · Digital transformation consulting Group-wide compliance with a single performance budget

The combinations are a starting recommendation, not a package. Every service can also be bought on its own; the order of work is fixed in writing after the audit, not before it.

What is the first piece of work in each segment?

Answer

The first piece of work in every segment is measurement: indexing status, structured data validity, Core Web Vitals values and accessibility gaps are recorded before anything is rebuilt. Only then is a single starting job chosen, according to the dominant problem of the segment. The five starting jobs are written out below.

  1. Manufacturing and factories: if the buyer cannot verify you, you drop off the shortlist

An industrial buyer does not read your website as a brochure. It is used as a shortlisting tool: what you produce, at what capacity, under which certificates. When those answers live only inside a PDF or an image, neither a search engine nor an AI assistant can put your company on a supplier list, because there is nothing machine-readable to put there.

The starting job is the product family architecture: technical specification tables as text, separate indexable URLs for product and document pages, and datasheets and certificates that are downloadable and searchable. For plants in the organised industrial zones (OIZ) of the Kocaeli industrial belt, the local context is set out on the Kocaeli corporate web design page.

  2. Retail chains: when one store has three different addresses, local search is lost

In chains the most common failure is not technical, it is a data-source failure: the store address is written one way on the website, another way in the mobile app and a third way in the business profile. When a search engine cannot reconcile those three records as the same business, local visibility falls, and so does footfall from “near me” queries.

The starting job is moving store data to a single source and giving every level of the city → district → store hierarchy its own indexable, genuinely distinct page. Each store carries its own LocalBusiness record with opening hours, and the site, the app and the business profile all read from the same file.

  3. Franchise networks: a prospective franchisee and an end customer do not read the same page

A franchisor’s website carries two separate funnels. The end customer looks for the product, the campaign and the nearest branch. The prospective franchisee looks for the investment figure, the payback expectation, the support package and the contract terms. Compressed into one “Franchising” page, neither audience finds enough to act on, and the enquiry arrives by phone with no data attached.

The starting job is separating the franchisee application funnel and making the brand guide operable at franchisee level: which content a franchisee may edit, which the centre locks, and who approves the difference. That decision is a permissions model, not a design preference.

  4. Export industry: translating a page and being found in a market are not the same thing

Publishing an English page creates a language version, not international visibility. Hreflang is the HTML annotation that tells a search engine which language and country a page was prepared for, and where its other language versions live (glossary definition). Without it the engine has to guess which version to show which buyer — and the buyer abroad increasingly verifies suppliers by asking an AI assistant rather than by scrolling results.

The starting job is deciding whether to target languages or countries, then building the URL structure and the hreflang matrix on that decision. Certificate and technical document presentation sits on top of that structure, and citability in generative engines is handled through GEO rather than left to chance.

  5. Corporate holdings: the more agencies the subsidiaries use, the further the group identity drifts

In group structures the problem is rarely the quality of any single site; it is the inconsistency between them. When each subsidiary works with a different agency, the design language, the performance level, the accessibility status and the schema architecture diverge, and nothing is left that can be reported at group level in one table.

The starting job is settling the brand architecture decision and defining one design system, one performance budget and one schema architecture that binds every subsidiary. These are delivered as files that go into code — a token file, a budget definition and a schema graph — not as a slide deck.

What do the five segments have in common?

Answer

Four things: more than one location, at least two languages, technical documents that must be searchable, and a corporate buyer with accessibility needs. When all four are present, the project stops being a website job and becomes a data and governance job — and the skeleton of the solution stays the same whichever industry it sits in.

More than one location

A branch, a dealer, a plant or a warehouse — wherever there is more than one address, each location needs its own page, its own structured data record and identical NAP details across the site, the app and the business profile. A single “Our branches” list returns nothing in local search.

More than one language

Two languages are not twice the content. A correct setup needs hreflang annotation, a language-aware internal link structure, and text rewritten for the target market rather than translated word for word.

Technical documents

Catalogues, datasheets, certificates, price lists, dealer paperwork. When those files sit behind a login or a dropdown with no readable text around them, the corporate procurement process stalls on the site and resumes on the phone.

Procurement-grade accessibility

Corporate buyers often complete forms with a keyboard, connect through a restricted corporate network and sometimes use a screen reader. In these segments WCAG 2.1 AA is not a compliance line item; it is the condition for receiving the enquiry at all.

Should the services be bought separately or together?

Every service can be bought on its own, and most companies start that way. The only reason to buy them together is not a discount but undivided accountability: when the team that builds the structure is also answerable for its visibility, the sentence “that part is not ours” cannot be said. In practice three combinations recur:

  • New site + structured data + AEO — so that a site written from scratch is readable by answer engines on day one. Schema bolted on afterwards does not replace a graph designed with the information architecture.
  • Existing site + Core Web Vitals + schema — when a measurable gain is needed without a rewrite. This is the pairing that returns a result soonest, because both are fixed in the existing code base.
  • Multilingual site + SEO + GEO — for export-driven structures that need to appear both in the search results and in the answers generative engines write in the target market.

Which combination is right for you is settled by measurement rather than opinion; the free digital asset audit gives that decision a measured starting point, although the report itself contains no proposal. Our own site’s measured scores are published with their measurement dates on the proof page.

Which projects do we decline?

Answer

We decline one-off small jobs, social media content production, and work where a guarantee is expected on rankings or on what an AI model says. We write this down as a scope decision rather than a judgement: the team is kept deliberately narrow so that corporate-scale delivery stays measurable. Anything outside scope is said in the first call.

We are the right partner

  • Corporate-scale companies with one decision-maker and one technical counterpart
  • Multi-location, multilingual or multi-brand structures
  • Work with a measurable goal: quote requests, franchisee applications, document downloads, local visibility
  • Projects with a horizon of at least three months
  • Organisations willing to put technical acceptance criteria into the contract
  • Companies that already have an agency but need a second party accountable on the technical side

We are not the right partner

  • One-off small jobs: a single poster, a single logo, a single landing page
  • Social media content production and community management — not our field
  • Work where a guarantee is expected on rankings or on generative model output
  • Projects where measurement and reporting are deliberately left out of scope
  • Personal and sole-trader projects below corporate scale
  • Structures that decline the handover of source code and design, and ask for a locked system

These lists exist so that neither side loses time, not to filter anyone out. For the work in the right-hand column, smaller studios and independent designers are usually the more accurate and more economical address, and we will point you towards one if you ask. Pricing is project-based and given in writing once the scope is clear; where a request sits below corporate scale we say so in the first call.

Frequently asked questions about industry solutions

Why does my industry need a specific approach?

Because the person making the decision changes with the industry. In a factory the site is opened by a procurement engineer looking for a datasheet; in a retail chain by a consumer looking for the nearest store; in a holding by an investor or a journalist looking for corporate information. Page architecture, structured data types and language structure are built around that person, and changing the template does not close that gap.

What happens if my industry is not on the list?

The five segments are not exhaustive; what decides the method is the shape of the organisation, not the name of the industry. If you have more than one location, at least two languages, technical documents that need to be searchable, or a website that is read during a corporate procurement process, the same method applies. If none of those are true, we say so in the first call.

Which services should each segment start with?

Every segment starts with measurement: indexing status, structured data validity, Core Web Vitals values and accessibility gaps are recorded first. After that, manufacturing starts with structured data and technical document architecture, retail with location architecture, franchise networks with the application funnel, exporters with the multilingual structure and hreflang, and holdings with brand architecture and central governance.

The full set of segment combinations is written out in the scope matrix.

Which projects do you decline?

We decline one-off small jobs, social media content production and community management, work where a guarantee is expected on rankings or on what an AI model says, and projects where measurement is deliberately left out of scope. This is a scope decision rather than a judgement; for that kind of request smaller studios are usually the more accurate and more economical address.

Do you work with companies based outside Turkey?

Yes. Delivery is remote and documented in writing, so distance changes the meeting rhythm rather than the method. Two directions are most common: Turkish manufacturers selling into foreign markets, and buyers abroad evaluating a Turkish supplier. Project language, review meetings, documentation and reporting are available in English, and contracts are issued by our Turkey-registered entity.

How that evaluation reads from the buyer’s side is set out on the export industry page.

Remaining questions about process, contract and reporting are answered on the FAQ page.
